Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Deoretek ("we") runs this website for ordering groceries and booking local services in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. This page explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account and contact details — name, mobile number and/or email when you log in, order or book.
• Orders and bookings — items, services, date and time, delivery or visit address, notes, payment method and UPI reference (UTR) if you give one.
• Reviews — rating and text you choose to post; shown publicly with your first name.
• Technical data — basic logs (IP address, browser) kept by our hosting providers for security.

Why we use it

To deliver your order or complete your booking, let the shop or salon contact you, send updates, prevent misuse, keep accounts and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

• The shop, salon or delivery person handling your order or booking — only what they need (name, mobile, address, items/service).
• Service providers that run the site: Supabase (database and login, servers in Mumbai, India) and Vercel (website hosting).
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

Guide feedback and tools

When you answer "Was this guide helpful?", we store only your answer, an optional reason and any comment you type — not your name or contact details. Our free tools (budget planner, checklists) keep what you enter only in your own browser; it is not sent to us.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies to keep you logged in and remember your language, delivery area and cart. These are needed for the site to work.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and sees pages visited, device and approximate location, but we do not send it your name, mobile number or email. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

Some article and shop pages may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We do not show ads on booking, checkout or account pages.

YouTube videos

Some articles include YouTube videos. They load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube may set cookies once you play a video. See Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep data

Order and booking records are kept as long as needed for accounts, tax and disputes (normally up to 8 years). You can ask us to delete your account and personal details sooner where the law allows.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent. Contact us using the details below.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 18 to use on their own.
